Advent is a season of expectant waiting and preparation for both the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas and return of Jesus at the Second Coming. Having recently visited the Holy Land on a pilgrimage, it reminded me that I am thankful for the many blessings bestowed upon us. I was overwhelmed by the devotion to our Lord in Christ’s birthplace. I witnessed the devotion of many pilgrimage groups around us. With that in mind, I would like to reflect on why I feel so strongly about the Tamarindo Foundation. This Foundation continues to thrive and grow while still facing the many challenges that are present in El Salvador.

The Tamarindo Community is a model for successful communities in El Salvador. Our Christian faith calls upon us to be generous and it is a blessing to see the generosity of those investments positively impact the people of Guarjila. Thank you for your investment in the Tamarindo Foundation and know your donations will repay you through God’s Blessings.

It is only through donations that the Tamarindo is able to thrive, grow and prosper. Can you set your New Year's resolution to give to the Tamarindo and invest in Salvadoran families?

I am also delighted to share our Thoman Learning Center is fully funded and construction is underway, but we still need your support to make sure the center is equipped and ready to provide a range of educational programs, from ESL to STEM, to Salvadorans of all ages.

Without further adue, on behalf of everyone at the Tamarindo, we want to share what was a truly inspiring 2019 at the Tamarindo. Know how grateful we all are for your accompaniment, prayers, love and support on this journey to break the chains of poverty and forced migration in El Salvador.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Steve Nasman, Tamarindo Foundation Board President
